Moving On
by Nick Alcantara © April 2001

It will take a while
But healing will come
Above the dark clouds
The sun still shines

The initial shock has faded out
But the longing and hoping will not
Let me grieve
But perhaps not forever
I'm ready now
To take what life has to offer

Yes indeed
Let me start all over gain
My dying is done
And I feel born again

There's no sorrow without pain
Better to light a candle
Than complain
For in life
There are no ends
Only new beginnings
