Loneliness
by Nick Alcantara ©

I've never known loneliness this way

Since you passed away

Living alone is hard to bear

In the still of the night

I often fear

Loneliness is here to stay

You always told me to find a partner again

If ever the inevitable may happen

If I have to find new love

The way we were

Maybe I may

Meanwhile loneliness lingers

Hoping someday it will go away

With Kris and Nate cheering me all the way

Special thanks to Nick Alcantara © for allowing us to use his poem.
